A.I.M.
Through our A.I.M. program, we offer a variety of opportunities for people to share places and experiences in their neighborhoods. Everyone can choose to volunteer, explore and engage in their community. PSU partners with private citizens and organizations to give people a chance to meet and connect with others through classes, social events, fitness activities and volunteering. PSU additionally offers on-site activities to broaden and enrich individuals’ interests and talents and to enhance their social skills, financial responsibility, and life skills.
Classes
Explore your interests and your community at the same time. We have participated in classes offered at the YMCA, the library, community arts centers, parks and many other public venues. Meet people, form relationships and grow your skills.
Social Events
Attend local concerts, festivals, shows and civic events. Holiday and celebratory parties, cookouts, karaoke and dancing.
Fitness Activities
PSU has a membership to the Countryside YMCA for enrolled individuals.Our individuals have taken part in exercise classes, swim classes and water aerobics. We also utilize the pools and the other facilities, such as the basketball courts, walking trails and tracks, and the game room. We have also taken part in local 5Ks, walks and hikes.
Volunteering
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for out individuals to give back to their community while forming relationships. We have volunteered at several schools and other local non-profits. We have helped with youth summer camps, animal care, gardening and office tasks to name a few. Our individuals have organized and held donation drives for local agencies and charities. We seek out and plan volunteer activities around individuals’ interests and skills. Let us know how you would like to contribute to your community!
COVID-19 PLAN
Some of our normal services, and service delivery methods, may be temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 mandates put in place by the Warren County Health Department and the State of Ohio. We have transformed our services to continue to be there for the individuals we serve while taking precautionary measures to keep all our staff and our individuals safe and healthy.
